RoadRUNNER Rides is a mobile app that turns your smartphone into a navigation device. The app has features like track your ride, create a route, search 500+ tours as seen in RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel magazine, and navigate routes with turn-by-turn directions and voice guidance.
No. RoadRUNNER Rides does not limit you with a certain amount of via points. You can create a tour with 100 via points, and you can still use the turn-by-turn feature, for example.
It’s free to create an account, plan routes, and track your rides. A premium membership gives you access to 500+ expertly planned tours throughout the US (and some Canada) along with the navigation features.
The premium membership gives you access to the 500+ tours along with the ability to use the full navigation with turn-by-turn directions and voice guidance. But the free version still lets you create and share routes. You just can’t follow them.
Unfortunately, no. We created the app with primarily you, the subscriber, in mind to make it even easier to follow the hundreds of tours we’ve planned over the years. As you can imagine development costs are quite high, which is why we have to charge a nominal fee.

Not at this time. The main purpose of the app is to make it super easy to follow the tours as seen in RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel magazine and to create and navigate your own. Depending on demand it’s an option for a future update.
Routes you created yourself with the Ride Plan feature, yes, you can share via email, QR code, and Facebook. The 500+ RoadRUNNER routes cannot be shared. At this time, you cannot export routes from the app.

It’s free to create an account to start planning and tracking rides. Access to the premium features (500+ tours as seen in RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel magazine and turn-by-turn, voice guided navigation) costs $ 59.99 USD per year or $ 5.99 USD per month.
You bet. As a matter of fact, many sports car enthusiasts and even RVers subscribe to RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel magazine for the excellent travel articles complete with maps and area information. Why spend your precious time on planning when the experts at RoadRUNNER do this all day every day? This app will give any road tripper the best routes.
Only if you’re not using a wifi network. Before navigating any route, you have to download the state map for it, which is stored on your smartphone. We recommend downloading your home state and the states you plan on riding in. When you save a route you want to navigate, the app stores the route on your phone, so it will not need any data when you’re out riding. If you close down the app halfway through your ride, and you don’t have any signal, you will still be able to finish the route.
Yes, it will work if you saved and started the route whenever you did have a data connection.
